Baby Belly Update

It wasn't until about week 16 that I really had any sign of a baby bump.  I have still been able to wear my regular clothes, though I am down to one pair of work pants so I do laundry constantly!

At our almost 16 week appointment I was having a lot of pain and since I had a history of cysts they wanted to make sure I didn't have another ovarian cyst.  I wasn't about to complain because I knew this meant we got to see our little one again!!! **This has become my most favorite thing in the world to do**  During this ultrasound the tech said she was 80% sure our little one was a GIRL!  While this won't be confirmed until our 20 week scan it gets this momma's wheels turning dreaming about her nursery and bows and dresses and shoes!!!!

This same day we were also visiting my dad in the hospital as he had just has his 5th...that is right I said 5th...hip replacement.  Our ultrasound tech was so wonderful in printing a couple of pictures that said "Hello Pop"!  These pictures remained by my dad's side throughout his hospital stay and I think it is safe to say this little girl is what has helped him to get through lately.

12 week little one

While I knew I was pregnant it became very real to me the moment we saw our baby during our 1st trimester scan. We saw the little peanut with a heartbeat at 8 weeks but at 12 weeks we saw a *baby*! I almost broke into tears the moment I saw this little one moving and bouncing inside of me.

We were also so excited to find out that our munchkin appears to be as healthy as can be!

The *not so much* baby bump

While I have been so excited for the "baby bump" at this point I am also excited that I haven't gotten too big too fast.  We were able to keep this little one a secret from most until about 13 weeks.  I was really nervous the entire first 12 weeks so I felt better not telling the majority of people until after that.  This also gave us a chance to tell our friends and family in the ways we wanted to.

My Dream Came True

There is one thing that I have always dreamed of and that is to become a mom.  On February 28, 2012 my dream came true when we found out that we are going to have a BABY!!!!!  While the journey wasn't easy, we are so blessed that God blessed us with this little one.

After two blood draws, more than 10 pregnancy tests, and viewing this little ones beating heart at 8 weeks it finally set in that this is real and that I get to be a mommy in early November.  I was so blessed to make it through my first trimester with hardly any sickness and just pure exhaustion.  I can't complain a bit as naps are one of my most favorite things and I had an excuse to nap as much as I wanted!  I have continued to work my long days and have done my best to keep up with my workouts so I am extremely lucky.  I love that this little one goes everywhere with me as I am continuously reminded of how blessed I am that I get to experience such an incredible gift!

We are going to be an aunt & uncle!

In November we found out that Andrew's older sister is going to have a baby!!!!  We were so excited for Brook and Greg.  In April we went back to Wisconsin to celebrate this little ones life at her baby shower. Robin did an amazing job with the adorable cow themed event.

While we won't know what this little one is until it is born, Andrew and I already have big plans of how we are going to spoil it rotten...I mean that is our job right!?!

The Daniels Family is Growing!!!

Clay Matthew Daniels

Andrew and I became proud parents to Clay Matthew May of 2011.  Yes he is super cute and yes he is named after a Greenbay Packer.  When thinking of names for our puppy Andrew really wanted something that represented one of his biggest loves...Wisconsin!  When the name Clay was suggested I felt it was *perfect* since this little guy was going to be a beautiful clay/grey color.

It was love at first sight when we met this little guy.  He was so dang cute, tiny, and sweet.  He is still super cute and sweet but tiny is not a word that would describe this guy!  After a few months of a love/hate relationship with his mommy we decided that Clay needed to be shipped off to bootcamp.  He is now a quite enjoyable...the majority of the time...dog to be around.  He *loves* to go on runs and LOVES attention.  Andrew is his best friend in the whole wide world but Clay loves everyone even if you don't want to be loved by him!

Baby Clay

Clay turned 1 on April 1st.  He got to spend the afternoon celebrating with his favorite dog friend Ike.  He is one happy puppy! **And yes, Andrew did buy him party hats to celebrate!**

September 24, 2011

Andrew and I were married September 24, 2011.  We were so blessed to have been surrounded by so much love and support throughout our whole wedding process and had a wonderful time the day of the wedding.
